Ambleside Community Christmas Lights

Welcome to the information pages of the Ambleside Community Lights & Fireworks

Here you'll find everything you need to know about our festive lights switch on, Santa Cruises, Lantern Parade and Fireworks.

The date for this years event is Sat 15th November.

Activities include:

Two Father Christmas Cruises. One in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Community stalls and live music in the Market Cross shopping area

Our famous Mulled Wine and Mince Pie stall in Market Cross.

A family fun zone with Taylors Fun Fair, stalls and food outlets down by the school

The main lantern procession with Father Christmas switching on the lights around the town

The day finishes off with a fantastic firework display in Rothay Park from Rainbow Fireworks

"the choir singing Christmas songs, the Christmas fair in the church hall, the shopfronts, the drumming, the food stalls and the fantastic atmosphere.

There was mulled wine at regular intervals around the town too. The procession was amazing. The firework display was excellent - loads of 'Oohs' and 'Wows'."
